AVBS Luminaries recognised in Queen's Birthday Honours - June 2007
Prof Colin Chesterman (UNSW), ex AVBS President, has received the honour of OFFICER (AO) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION
A/Prof Peter Little (Baker Heart Research Institute), ex AVBS Secretary, hasreceived the honour of MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA (AM)
AVBS congratulates Colin and Peter on this recognition of their service to the medical research and wider community.
IVBM to be held in Australia
The 2008 International Vascular Biology Meeting will be hosted by AVBS in Australia. The meeting will be chaired by Levon Khachigian (Centre for Vascular Research, UNSW) and will mark exactly a decade since our last IVBM, at Cairns in 1998. We aim to follow the fine tradition set by preceding IVBM in showcasing the very best and most cutting edge aspects of vascular biology. More details will follow in due course.
